The Associated Press is reporting that “suburban life is turning serious” after news that a National Museum of Suburban History is being planned for Johnson County, Kansas. Seems rather boring to me. Some jokesters at Gawker wonder what will go in the Museum of Suburban History.
NPR has a piece about generals ‘going rogue’ which also happens to be the title of Sarah Palin’s first book. The History News Network has some background on the ‘History of Insubordinate Generals’ by a professor at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
There’s a great overview of Robert E. Lee and why he didn’t write his memoirs at HistoryNet. It has some wonderful detail.
