Tragedy at the Lake Preston Pool

On Monday I posted a scan of an old photo of me, my siblings and several cousins having fun in the community pool at Lake Preston, South Dakota.

Sadly, a few days ago I read about a seven-year-old boy from Sioux Falls who was in town visiting his grandmother. Despite life guards on duty, he ended up drowning in the pool. He would have been a second-grader next month.

I had just been there a few days back, but didn’t get a chance to swim.

It is just sad when something like this happens. A little boy full of promise.
