Following up on what I wrote yesterday, about my and other’s strong misgivings regarding the two presidential candidates who are likely to be their respective party’s nominees — Trump & Hillary — comes a great quote from Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska summing up the situation.
“The nation that put a man on the moon can’t do any better than nominating two fundamentally dishonest New York liberals? I think the American people deserve a better choice than that, and I think they’ll get a better choice than that. If you got to a place where those are the two major-party nominees, and I certainly hope that they’re not, I’d have to look for a third-party option.”
I just hope it doesn’t end up helping to elect Hillary by splitting up the conservatives and moderates enough, like Ross Perot did in 1992, electing Bill with a plurality, not a majority of the people.
