According to the genetic experts at 23 and Me, my DNA says that I have a 28% chance of having blonde hair. I also inherited the bald gene, or genes, however, from my paternal grandmother’s side.
If I do get a lot of sun, what hair that remains often goes rogue, turning a nice blonde. As a kid, I had a full head of blonde, curly hairy. Sadly, those days are long gone.
Kids would tease me about my “receding hairline” in middle school. I still debate that. But in the end, they were right, very right.
