We should “reject religiously-charged terminology and problematic positioning by using plain meaning American English.”
They call this plain American English?! Why not start with your own government report? Instead of bureaucratese, perhaps try plain, ol’ American English.
Of course, this makes no sense at all. Using plain speak would include the words they want to ban.
Bureaucrats should use “American English instead of religious, legal and cultural terms like ‘jihad,’ ‘sharia,’ ‘takfir’ or ‘umma.’”
You see, these words are “confrontational,” creating an “us versus them” dynamic. And rather than “Muslim American,” we should use “American Muslim” because it is somehow better.
Hey, I have an idea. Let’s focus on the terrorism and the terrorists, not the damn terminology!
It’s clear to me that our government is so inept and corrupt that protecting the public is pretty much impossible. Thus, it is imperative we protect our Second Amendment rights as diligently as possible.
