I love a good statue. I wish there were more of them.


Honoring those who are no longer with us, particularly just average, everyday people, is a big deal to me.

One way of doing this is creating monuments such as statues. The statue pictured above honors a lifeguard who died while attempting to rescue someone. It is near the pier in Newport Beach, California.

I am hoping to sculpt a few monuments myself, focusing on ancestors and historical figures, such as my Grandpa Fromke and Martin Luther King.
