I was about to use the word remembering, but then I don’t have any memories of him, though he did babysit me quite a bit during my first two years on Earth. So I replaced it with honoring instead.
I miss him. I wish he had been around longer.
He had a cousin with the same name born the year before him. His cousin lived into his nineties and was the father of Devern Fromke, a Christian evangelist and author of numerous books.
If I remember correctly, the cousin was the son of Grandpa’s uncle, August, brother of Albert. So the name Oscar must have some sort of significance to the family, perhaps an ancestor.
