Later, Cicero declared him The Father of History.
He was the first to consider history from a scholarly perspective rather than a storytelling one, breaking from Homer, whose style had become the traditional norm.
Greek is such a peculiar language. Ἡρόδοτος is his name in Ancient Greek.
