Don’t watch the news. Live life. Tune out.

You studied journalism in college. What do you think of the state of journalism today? The thing is, you know, I don’t watch the news at all. I have a ban on watching the news at home or listening in the car, and that’s been going on since I heard Oprah say some 15 years ago that the news just ruins your day and you lose a valuable part to your life and energy by going insane with the news and being in a bad mood. That’s not to say I’m ill informed. I know what I need to know and that’s about it. If it’s not about me, then I’m not that interested. I just don’t really care that much because I don’t need something to drag me down.
