What a nasty virus! And my case is, no doubt, considered mild.

Based on my symptoms, I am now assuming that I have the novel coronavirus which causes COVID-19.

I talked with a nurse today and have an appointment with a doctor scheduled for tomorrow. I can only be tested for COVID-19 if I am first screened by a doctor. Then, hopefully, a kit can be mailed.

I have had a fever for about four days. I was burning up last night and could not sleep. Took a store brand Tylenol PM and that helped, but I was worried about my breathing. I was so hot that I started using a cold, wet washcloth to cool me down. I can confirm that when they say this virus produces a high fever, it’s true. It almost an understatement. I have not been sick like this for many, many years.

Now, thankfully, it is not as bad, but the fever persists. My throat has been constricting, though this has eased up somewhat. I have an occasional cough and my neck is inflamed.

If I have any problems breathing, I have been directed to call 9-1-1 or go to the ER. I did suspect something was up last week, when I had a slight sore throat, but it went away, only to return this week. Hopefully, my body will fight it off and I will return to my former self.

I am beginning to feel better tonight, but am still very tired.
