Art by the opposition

Dissent is a left-wing intellectual magazine that was founded in 1954 in New York City. Among its founders was writer Norman Mailer.

The imagery is somewhat surprising because it isn’t defamatory. It is respectful, actually a positive reflection of the men. Trump appears to be deferential to Reagan, bowing his head slightly. The artist has captured both men and some of their key mannerisms well. My only complaint artistically is the light green skin.

Of course, the headline makes it clear: they are enemies. Whether this includes conservatives in general I think is obvious. Anyone who supported Reagan and his vision for America and the world is an enemy. This naturally also applies to the “racists” and “bigots” who support Trump.
