I love this photo of my great aunt and uncle on their wedding day. The perfect couple. They are the reason why my parents ended up in Oregon. Thankfully, it was sent to the local paper, The Capital Journal, and printed. War had not yet come to America. It was Wednesday, July 2ᴺᴰ, 1941. I did not realize it for many, many years, but he was a surrogate grandfather to me.
