A remarkable life of tragedy and joy

I am reading about the remarkable life of Else Blangsted, an acclaimed music editor for movies and television. She has died at the age of 99.

She lived a remarkable life of tragedy and joy: growing up in a Jewish family in Nazi Germany, getting pregnant out of wedlock as a teen, attempting suicide, giving birth to a daughter she thought stillborn & fleeing Germany in 1937 for Hollywood. Her first job was as a nanny for the family of producer Mervyn LeRoy.

Thanks to Greg Evans at Deadline.
