Eerie blood red skies in Salem, Oregon, the city where I grew up. My grandmother lived in this neighborhood for many years.
This is the parking lot of WinCo Foods, near Highway 22. The epicenter of the devastating fires is the highway to the east, as the road gets into the foothills of the Cascades.
I shopped there occasionally, including grocery shopping for her sometimes. Some of the best prices of any grocery store. I highly recommend.
