Snail caviar? Snail caviar!?

I doubt it’s an April Fools’ joke. On the front page of a major newpaper, the San Fran Chronicle? I don’t think so. But who would eat snail eggs? Just reading about it grosses me out.

Saw this photo on the front page of the San Francisco Chronicle and was immediately mesmerized by it. The photographer is a fella named Michael Macor. He’s won numerous awards and posts infrequently on Twitter.
