South Lake Union is the site of the Center for Wooden Boats and the home of many ships docked just to the north of the Museum of History and Industry. It is a wonderful place in the city. Amazon has taken over much of the adjacent area, but these institutions and the open space survive, thankfully.
The Arthur Foss is the only known wood-hulled 19th century tugboat still afloat. The boat was the last to escape Wake Island in 1942 when the Japanese Navy was dominant in the Pacific, according to the group American Merchant Marine Veterans.
